We recently made some nice improvements to the overall system that includes a new table in the database called part_source. This new table automatically tracks which data sources (either inspection equipment or gagestations) measured a particular part and the date/time it happened. While we have had ways of breaking out specific equipment for a long time, users had to know how to formally set up the options to track at this level. Since this is automatic, it will just start populating as long as you have the latest revision of QC-CALC 4.0 (as of 4.0.103).
Meanwhile in QC-Mobile, the System Status screen has been improved to show this information more accurately. The Data Collection Status window now shows the most recent data collection location by workstation. It includes the date time of the last measurement from that workstation as well as relevant part file and workstation information. It even shows the last time it checked in allowing you to see whether or not it's currently running. This furthers the goals of giving users of QC-Mobile unparalleled transparency into the workings of the shop floor.
