Load Events: Synchronization, not an Export
The major difference between EDL and QC-CALC's automatic export is the history. An automatic export in QC-CALC will automatically send the data to your SQL database, but it will not pick up historical changes to your data. EDL synchronizes all changes to the QCC files you choose including True Position relationships, notes, and any other features supported in QC-CALC. This way, you know QC-CALC and SQL match completely. Load events can load data from QCC files, QCQ files, and part files in SQL Server.
EDL is currently compatible with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and higher.
CFR 21 Part 11
EDL automatically picks up all 21 CFR Part 11 audit trail changes in your QCC files if this option has been enabled. In addition to the changes to the data, it automatically pulls the user and reason codes behind the changes. This functionality is automatically enabled if QC-CALC is in Part 11 audit mode.
Central Assignable Cause and Corrective Action files
Map EDL to the same assignable cause and corrective action files as QC-CALC and the causes and actions used will automatically be moved to the SQL database as they are used.
