If you want to uninstall Prolink License Server but there is no entry for it in Windows' Add/Remove Programs, you can follow these steps to manually uninstall PLS:
- Open a command prompt by right-clicking Command Prompt in the Windows Start Menu and choose Run as Administrator
- Run this command:
- PLS 4.0:
sc delete ProlinkLicenseService
- PLS 4.2:
sc delete "Prolink License Service 4.2"
- That should confirm the service is deleted
- If you get an "Access is denied" error, make sure the command prompt is running as Admin
- Now you can manually delete the main program folder:
- PLS 4.0: C:\Prolink\Prolink License Server 4.0
- PLS 4.2: C:\ProgramData\Prolink\Prolink License Server 4.2 and C:\Program Files\Prolink\Prolink License Server 4.2
- Delete the "Prolink License Server.lnk" Windows start menu shortcut located in: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Prolink
- There may also be a Prolink License Server desktop shortcut that you can also delete
The steps above will completely remove Prolink License Server.
