INTRODUCTION

Some of our aerospace customers have asked if we support the running of an AS9102 report in the SPC Office Buddy. This set of files will allow you to do just that . Simply import the Excel Job and place the Excel template spreadsheets in the right directory and you can run AS9102 (Forms 1, 2, and 3).


STEPS

  1. Click the AS9102ExcelJob.xml file on the right and save it to your desktop.
    If you are using the Firefox browser and it opens the file, simply right click on the link and choose "Save link as.." and this will allow you to save the file.
  2. In the SPC Office Buddy's Excel Jobs panel (top left corner of screen), click the Import button (little blue arrow pointing down).
  3. Navigate to your Desktop and choose the AS9102ExcelJob.xml file. Click the Open button.
  4. It will automatically find the job and put it in a list. Click the Import button. It will appear in your Excel Jobs list.
  5. Click the AS9102 Template (colored) link on the right side and save it to the C:\Prolink\SPC Office Buddy 3.2\Report\ directory. This is the template the Excel Job will use.

You are now ready to run the job. To run it, simply highlight two records (rows) in the grid and double click the job. You will see the spreadsheets fill in automatically with the data found in the QCC file.

MORE INFORMATION

The template used is a colored template that colors certain cells (yellow and turquoise) based on required data and is the standard colors used in the industry. If you would prefer a template without the colored background, you can download the AS9102 Template on the right as above in Step 5 and place it in the same directory. Then simply edit the Excel Job in the Buddy and specify this spreadsheet as the template file. All else is the same.
